Wichita Karma Thegsum Chöling (KTC) was founded in 1996 to create an authentic Tibetan Buddhist practice community in the Wichita area. The center was founded under the direction of the Ven. Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche, the abbot of Karma Triyana Dharmachakra (KTD), a Tibetan Buddhist monastery and the North American seat of His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, Ugyen Trinley Dorje, in Woodstock, NY.
