Lama Karma Drodul Visits Wichita May 24-31

Lama Karma Drodul is Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche’s principal attendant and assistant. He became a monk when he was nine years old and at twenty received both getsul (intermediate) and gelong (full) ordination from Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche. Lama Karma excelled in all aspects of dharma study and completed his education in five years. Thrangu Rinpoche sent him to the U. S. to deepen his understanding of the dharma under the tutelage of Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche.
In March 2004, Lama Karma completed his first, and in February 2008 his second, traditional three-year, three-month retreat under Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche at Karme Ling Retreat Center. He now is the Drubpon (retreat master) at Karme Ling. He travels to different centers to teach and is the author of Amrita of Eloquence: A Biography of Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche.
We are offering these teachings for the amazing all-inclusive price of $80.
The Public talk will have a break-out price of $10 at the door

BLESSINGS OF MANI PILLS

Buddhism has many types of dharma pills. Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche will teach about mani pills (called mani rilbu in Tibetan), their benefit, their practice use, their ingredients, and our lineage’s practice with them. In particular, mani pills have a special benefit for cleaning negative thoughts and diseases and increase love and compassion.

His Holiness the 17th Karmapa gave up eating meat because of the intense suffering of animals, and his Mahayana training to see all sentient beings as his mothers. Now Khenpo Rinpoche, who has also given up meat, explains why it is so beneficial to do so.

Khenpo Karma Tenkyong Visits Wichita KTC Feb 24-25
A native of Nepal, Khenpo Tenkyong became a monk at a young age and later undertook an eleven-year course of Buddhist studies at Karma Shri Nalanda Institute at Rumtek Monastery, earning a Shastri (dB.A.), Acharya (M.A.) and Master’s Degree in Buddha’s Teaching in the Sutra Tradition. Khenpo Tenkyong has extensive experience teaching religious history, Buddhist philosophy, and logic. He was awarded the title of Khenpo by the 17th Karmapa, who also gave him the name Tenkyong. He has worked for more than eleven years at the Karmapa’s Office of Administration in Dharamsala, India.
